Do I need to be a member to use the facilites? You can trailer in and park on the grounds without being a member and access the trails. The grounds belong to the City of Sacramento and are governed by the same park rules all over town. To ride in the arena or round pens, you must be a member. We ask all riders to be safe and set a good example to our younger riders and wear a helmet when mounted.
May I leave my horse overnight in a paddock if I am from out of the area? Yes, we charge $15 per horse for clean up and use of our overnight paddocks. Please arrange it in advance with Paris.
May I bring my dog on the grounds? Yes, but please keep them on a lease for the safety of our horses,members and turkeys!
Are the 2nd Monday Night dinners at the Saddle Oaks Clubhouse for Members only? Heavens no, the more the merrier! Bring your friends and share a great meal at a very reasonable price! Even the bar drinks are low!
How much does it cost to be on the waiting list for a stall? How long does it take to get one? Right now the list is very small as we have had a number of stalls turn over. It only takes $25 to be on the list and you can be passed over twice before being moved to the bottom.
Will the stall prices increase with the building of a new barn? Not for people in the barn at the time of the move, but they may be going up for incoming new boarders once it is occupied. Current boarders will not be affected by any rate increase! Get on the list today!
Do you give riding lessons at SHA? We have a number of trainers available in our membership who have their own horses or can give you lessons on your horse. Carol Sharon gives lessons at SHA. Call Paris Frazier for a referral based on your needs!
